| General Code of Conduct |
 |
Students are required to carry at all times their identity cards and produce them for inspection when requested by any member of the faculty or staff |
|
Students are expected to have 100% attendance. However minimum 75% attendance is mandatory to qualify for appearing for the university exams |
|
In case a student requires to remain absent, he/she should obtain prior permission from the Principal in the prescribed form, clearly stating the reason of absence along with supporting documentation |
|
Student should behave and present themselves properly in class as well as in the campus. |
|
 Smoking and consumption of liquor, gutka, drugs or any such intoxicating substances is strictly prohibited in the campus. Anybody found in possession or under the influence of such items would face severe disciplinary action |
|
 Students must regularly read the notices relating to time tables, activity schedule etc. The institute accepts no responsibility for loss of any advantage by a student on account of his/her failure to do so |
|
Students using vehicles will do so entirely at their risk. Vehicles should be parked only in the designated areas. The institute will accept no responsibility for the safety and security of students’ vehicle |

Any change in the address of the student should be notified by the student in writing to the institute’s office |
|
The attitude and behavior of every student must demonstrate his/her commitment to Late G. N. Sapkal College of Engineering’ vision, mission and the processes of the institute. A student manual containing a detailed outline of code of conduct will be given to each student.
Any violation may lead to his/her termination from studentship or debarring from examinations. Similarly damaging Institute property may attract heavy fines or replacement of the same. Students will generally be in semiformal dress for normal classes.
Slippers, short pants and banyan type tee shirts without collar are not allowed in the classrooms. For specific functions and events the students should have formal dress including a coat and tie |

Any damage to hostel property, misconduct in hostels, sexual harassment, ragging, intoxication found inside the campus will lead to strict disciplinary action of termination. The detailed Hostel guidelines will be given in the student’s manual |

Maharashtra Prohibition of Anti-ragging act, 1999 defines the meaning of ragging within the campus or outside is strictly prohibited. Anybody found guilty of such an act defined as ragging shall be liable for punishment with imprisonment up to two years and a fine up to Rs. 10,000.00.
Any student convicted of an offence under section 4 shall be dismissed from the institution summarily |

| Anti – Ragging Provision |
Action against ragging: Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act 1999 which is in effect from 15th May 1999 has the following provisions against Ragging.
The college follows “Save tolerance” towards ragging. As per the Supreme Court direction, if any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the colleges authorities, the accused student/s will be given an opportunity to explain & if his/her explanation is not satisfactory, the college authorities would expel him/her from the college. |

Ragging within or outside of any educational Institution is prohibited. |
|
Whosoever directly or indirectly commits, participates in, abets, or propagates ragging within or outside any educational institute shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term up to 2 years and / or penalty which may extend to ten thousand rupees. |
|
Any student convicted of an offence of ragging shall be dismissed from the educational institution and such student shall not be admitted in any other educational institution for a period of five years from the date of order of such dismissal. |
|
| In case of any legal matter, the case shall be exclusively under the jurisdiction of Nashik District. |
